Will it work on my phone?

Almost certainly - anything sold since 2019 is eSIM ready.

eSIM support has been standard on new phones for a few years now, so if your device is reasonably recent it's very likely compatible even if it isn't named below. The two-second way to check on any phone: dial *#06# - if you see an EID number in the results, your device supports eSIM.

Checking on iPhone / iPad

Settings → General → About → scroll to Digital SIM (or Available SIM). If that section exists, your device supports eSIM. Dialling *#06# also works and shows an EID line.

Checking on Android

Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections) → SIMs → look for Add eSIM or Add mobile plan. Wording varies a little by manufacturer, but dialling *#06# and checking for an EID works on every Android device too.

Known compatible devices

Not an exhaustive list - a device missing here isn't necessarily incompatible, especially if it's a newer release. Use the *#06# check above if you don't see your exact model.

A few things worth knowing

  • Carrier-locked devices usually can't add an eSIM from another provider. If your phone was bought on a plan and never unlocked, check with your carrier first.
  • Dual-eSIM limits vary by device - most phones can store several eSIM profiles but only run one or two active at a time, which is plenty for a regular travel eSIM alongside your normal line.
  • Some carrier or region variants disable eSIM even on an otherwise supported model (this has happened with certain China-market and carrier-locked US phones). The *#06# check is the definitive answer for your exact unit.
